When Should My Child First See a Dentist?

Most parents are surprised by the answer: your child should see a dentist far earlier than you might think — by their first birthday.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association both recommend a child's first dental visit by age one, or within six months of the first tooth appearing — whichever comes first.
